York Fluid Controls can supply Versa-Matic liquid level controllers that feature exceptional performance and ATEX compliance as a standard feature. These float actuated liquid level controllers offer a number of benefits, including easy installation, long life and versatility.
The standard ATEX compliance was added as the latest improvement to Versa-Matic’s liquid level controllers. ATEX requirements apply to electrical equipment used in hazardous locations that will be marketed in the European Union. They include health and safety requirements, equipment inspections, and a quality assessment of the manufacturing facility. To make it easy to tell if the model is ATEX compliant and not an older version, the new models have a nameplate with the ATEX symbol.
Features and capabilities
These liquid level controllers offer simple, low-cost installation since they are plumbed as part of the piping system. In addition, there is no need for electrical connections, as the controllers have mechanical and pneumatic operation. They work by using a float-operated air pilot valve to control the opening and closing of an air valve. Air is admitted or exhausted through a special regulator to control an air-operated pump.
They offer versatility because a single control can be installed to handle sumping and tank filling/transfer. They are also adjustable from a few inches to about nine feet. Lastly, these controllers are designed to last with corrosion-resistant wetted components.
York Fluid Controls can supply a full range of Versa-Matic pumps, including sanitary, specialty, high pressure and submersible types. Other Versa-Matic equipment and accessories are also available, such as leak detectors, surge suppressors, anti-shock valves and replacement parts.
