One of the many pump products York Fluid Controls distributes in Canada is a wide variety of progressive cavity pumps. Also known as PC pumps, these devices are designed to handle highly demanding industrial slurry- and paste-pumping applications, particularly those with high viscous or shear-sensitive liquids and sludges.
This line of PC pumps have a shorter construction that achieves high levels of efficiency and pressure, thanks to the pumps’ unique features and patented design.
A broad selection of designs
York Fluid Controls’ impressive portfolio of progressive cavity pumps comes in a broad selection of designs. Customers have 40 different types of PC pumps from which to choose, each with its own set of unique advantages.
Examples include the G065G1L heavy-duty, waste-activated sludge pump, which is recommended for high-viscosity, solids-enriched fluids and heavy-waste solids in secondary pumping applications. This pump is popular in the wastewater sector for its ability to pump mixed liquid in the activated sludge-control process, among other tasks. For sewage and sewage transfer, York Fluid Controls recommends the F050G1L series, ideal for heavy-waste, solids-laden sewage waste, with a low shear and gentle action.
Also available is a series of wobble-stator PC pumps, with individual designs for groundwater, manure slurry, or solids and slurries. Wobble pumps have a simple design and just one universal joint to give users inherent benefits of low-pulsation progressive cavity pumps and shear of viscous fluids at affordable prices. There are many close-coupled options in this lineup.
Another option is a selection of open-hopper PC pumps. These pumps are distinguished by their large rectangular feed hoppers that easily accommodate the pumping medium, while the non-pulsating design of the product produces a low-shear flow that conveys the medium effortlessly. Versions of these pumps are available for fruits and vegetables, wine must and slurry, or solids.
Still other types of PC pumps are available for specific applications, including mud and slurry, grease and scum removal and transfer, hydraulic fracking fluids, adhesives, polymer feed and chemical injection, and more. Whatever the requirement, York Fluid Controls has a way to fulfill it.
