The WORKHORSE series uses Tsubaki’s patented sealed joint-chain design, which consists of three elements:
- Extended bushing barrier seal. Chain bushings extend beyond inner sidebars to minimize clearance between outer bars and bushings, for a solid barrier that prevents abrasive material from entering the pin/bushing joint.
- Polymer wide face seal. Made of high-temperature engineered polymer, this encircles the extended bushing to add a particulate-resistant barrier and minimize contamination.
- Stainless steel internal ring seal. This creates a labyrinth to stop debris from invading the pin/bushing area, but holding tightly onto the pin and rotating within a bushing groove.
This unique design has proven performance with cement, gypsum, coal, sugar, grain, clay, carbon, fertilizer, potash, and other harsh applications.
