NCA (National Compressed Air) carries a wide selection of oil water separators designed to safely and reliably remove oily condensate from compressed air systems. Its lineup includes units from such leading manufacturers as Sepura, Beko, Domnick Hunter and Curtis.
The S-Series1 nano Sepura oil water separator is not your typical oil water separator. Its advanced design and unique environmentally friendly oil absorbing filtration media takes separation technology to a new level. This proprietary, non-carbon-based media attracts oil and repels water. No messy carbon bags, settling tanks full of untreated condensate or external oil collection containers are required. The result is a reliable system with long media life and simplified maintenance.
A variety of Beko products are available from NCA, including the company’s Owamat, Qwik-Pure and Bekosplit emulsion splitting separators. Both the Owamat and Qwik-Pure units are known for their cost-effectiveness and function. These separators are available in application-specific sizes and are low maintenance. The Owamat models, however, offer up to 25 per cent greater capacity according to unit type. Meanwhile, Bekosplit separators are designed to clean up emulsified condensates that occur under unfavourable process conditions or with certain lubricant/compressor combinations. It is also suitable for treating other oil-containing industrial wastewaters, enabling a large variety of solid contaminants to be removed.
After the oily condensate has been efficiently removed from the compressed air system, it cannot be discharged directly to the sewer without first having the oil content reduced to within legal disposal limits. Parker domnick hunter ES2000 Series oil water separators are a simple, economical and environmental solution for this common problem. These separators are installed as part of the compressed air system and reduce the oil concentration in the collected condensate to a level permitted for discharge. This allows the larger volume of clean water, up to 99.9 per cent of the total condensate, to be discharged safely.
The FS-Curtis Clean Pro Series oil water separators are designed to separate oil from condensate that is extracted from compressed air systems from 65 scfm through 1,250 scfm. All units in this series can accept condensate discharge from intelligent drains, timer drains, float drains and manual drains. All of the separated oil is collected in a special disposable filter, which means that when the filter is changed, the separated oil is removed from the system.
