As a leader in water-based adhesive technologies, Adheco carries top quality products from well-known, respected manufacturers. Its portfolio includes a water-based foam adhesive (WBFA) from industry leader 3M.
The 3M WBFA is a two-component water-based sprayable adhesive. It offers very high initial strength that is comparable to solvent-based foam adhesives in most applications when used with an activator. For applications that don’t require high initial strength, it can be used without an activator for lower tack. In addition, this adhesive offers a flexible bond line, and excellent bonds to various substrates.
Available in neutral and lavender colours, the WBFA adhesive can bond urethane foam to itself, wood and plastic, as well as bond backed fabrics to urethane foam. This is useful for such applications as chair manufacturing, for example. It can also bond non-woven fibre batting to foam for such applications as furniture upholstery, and is ideal for wrapping foam tightly around wood edges.
In addition to this foam adhesive, Adheco carries other water-based adhesives from 3M. It can offer the Fastbond 2000NF high-performance contact adhesive if one of the surfaces is porous. This two-component water-based sprayable, rollable and brushable adhesive is used to bond HPL to particle board, and for laminating and bonding a wide range of products from cork, cardboard and backed fabrics to foam, plastic laminates, chipboard, metal and more.
Another option is the 3M 30NF one-component water-based adhesive, which can be sprayed, rolled or brushed on to bond various materials. For example, it can bond HPL to particle board, aluminum skins to styrofoam or beadboard, and plastic sheets to porous and non-porous substrates.
The 3M 1000NF one-component water-based adhesive is another offering. This option is ideal for countertop, desk, table, flooring, wall panel and partitions manufacturing. It can be sprayed, rolled or brushed on.
