Thermo-Kinetics can provide hybrid controllers and modular systems from Honeywell. These systems combine process and discrete control, making them ideal for use in both plant processes and process equipment.
Thermo-Kinetics carries the HC900, which is a rack-based modular and scalable platform. It can be supplied in three rack sizes, and users can choose from three levels of CPU performance. This controller combines the benefits of three components: a powerful controller that features modular I/O; a hardened user interface featuring a colour display and compact 4GB flash card; and easy-to-use configuration software.
This cost-effective, embedded controller offers many advantages. For instance, it can be used as either a standalone product or it can be integrated into a plant network using Ethernet Modbus/TCP connectivity. In addition, it is capable of reducing total costs by integrating many instruments and logic into a single product.
The controller can easily be used in all types of applications across many industries with its combination of process, logic and sequence control algorithms, data acquisition, modular design and graphical configuration tool.
The operator interface offers a wide range of pre-formatted displays for monitoring and servicing. Standard operator displays and display “widgets” complement the control function blocks, including PID, setpoint programmers, schedulers and sequencers. It also provides trending objects to offer recent history of performance, and it supports data logging to the internal flash card.
Custom operator interfaces can also be configured using the Station Designer software. This intuitive PC tool has more than 4,000 pre-built graphic symbols for things like pumps, tanks, valves, switches and buttons. Every user display incorporates a master overlay for alarms, events, controller status, time and date, background data log function and more.
