It’s no surprise, then, that the company’s hand-held, battery-operated digital vacuum gauge, as well as its thermocouple vacuum gauge tubes, have those same characteristics. Available in Canada from Durham Instruments, these units offer accurate and stable vacuum measurement under the most demanding conditions.
Teledyne Hastings Instruments’ HPM 4/5/6 is a hand-held, battery-operated digital vacuum gauge based on the highly successful VT/CVT-Series of “Hastings Gauges”, which have generated loyal customers for more than 50 years. The HPM 4/5/6 features a precision A/D converter, along with a microprocessor to measure the thermocouple vacuum gauge tube’s signal output. The microprocessor converts the measurement to a pressure reading by employing the gauge tube’s well-defined output/pressure relationship. The result is displayed using a bright, easy-to-read graphical display.
The gauges are available in ranges from 0.1 to 20 Torr, 0.1 to 100 mTorr, and one to 1,000 mTorr, and offer easy installation and long battery life.
The HPM 4/5/6 is compatible with three of THI’s most popular gauge tube families: DV-4, DV-5 and DV-6.
Vacuum gauge tubes
Teledyne Hastings’ Thermocouple Gauge Tubes/Sensors are precision sensing devices designed to provide accurate measurement and control of vacuum. Available in a range of models, these gauge tubes are fully compensated for both temperature and rate of temperature change. They utilize THI’s rugged, yet sensitive, noble metal thermocouples designed specifically for each range.
Thanks to their rugged construction, reliability and repeatability, these gauges and gauge tubes are ideal for use in a range of demanding applications, including cryogenic tanks, refrigeration, power transformers, vacuum jacket insulation and more.
