Daemar Inc. can supply Teflon energized shaft seals. They combine the advantages of Teflon — such as ultra-low friction and extreme temperature performance — with spring or rubber energizers to enhance and maintain sealing forces.
They are used in applications with demanding conditions that require long life, temperature resistance and chemical compatibility. Some examples include pumps, compressors, brake systems, aircraft engines, drones, cryo coolers and oil field equipment actuators.
The standard PTFE energized seals available from Daemar can be used at pressures up to 3,000 psi, while custom seals are available for pressures up to 60,000 psi.
Spring or rubber energized seals
Spring energized seals are made up of U-shaped rings and stainless steel springs configured in either a V or coil section. This type of seal features high wear resistance, unlimited shelf-life, low friction without stick-slip, and low break-out force. Also available are rubber energized seals that utilize O-rings or square-section rings in various materials to suit the application. Both types of energized seals are available in piston or rod sealing designs.
Other seal materials

Some examples of the sealing element materials available include: silicone rubber, nitrile rubber, fluorinated rubber and polyacrylate rubber.
