AMT offers submersible pumps that are lightweight, portable, reliable and energy efficient — the perfect combination for general dewatering pump use. Its models 5981-95 and 598A-95 are particularly suited for such applications as sump pumps, basements, construction drainage, dewatering, wastewater treatments, agricultural irrigation and flooding thanks to their many best-in-class features.
These submersible pump models feature a clog-resistant impeller — a must for applications requiring water removal.
The pumps’ motors are rated continuous duty 115 VAC at 60 Hz. They come with a standard cord and plug, and offer protection against thermal overload.
Models 5981-95 and 598A-95 are constructed from cast iron and feature a stainless steel motor housing. The ½-horsepower model features a heavy-duty polypropylene strainer and ceramic/carbon mechanical and shaft seals. The one-horsepower model includes a stainless steel strainer and dual ceramic/carbon mechanical and shaft seals.
The pumps are UL/CSA listed and include a built-in carry handle for portability. They are available in Canada from York Fluid Controls, a specialty stocking distributor based in Brampton, Ont. The family owned company offers an extensive selection of fluid transfer and process pumps, positive displacement and centrifugal pumps, liquid filtration, valves, mixers and tanks. It has earned a reputation for its expertise and high ethical standards over the past 56 years.
