Gould Fasteners offers its customers Heli-Coil Tangless threaded inserts from Stanley Engineered Fastening, a company that has been revolutionizing fastening technology for almost 100 years.
Stanley’s Heli-Coil tangless threaded inserts, available from Gould Fasteners, are offered in two options, Free-Running and Screw-Locking. Free-Running provide a free-running thread, while Screw-Locking offer self-locking torque by using a hexagonal coil in the middle of the insert.
Free-Running inserts require no staking, locking, swaging, keying, or interference fit and can be automatically adjusted to any expansion or contraction of the parent material.
Screw-Locking inserts secure threaded members against vibration or shock loosening and offer a high reusability factor as a result of the Heli-Coil Resilient Screw-Lock that allows for frequent removal and reassembly of a fastener without appreciable loss of torque.
Each provides permanent, wear-resistant screw threads, which eliminate tang break-off and retrieval.
Stanley’s Heli-Coil tangless threaded inserts can be ordered in inch or metric series, either coarse or fine, and offer positive self-locking torque, which complies with MIL-I-8846 and MIL-N-25027. These Heli-Coil inserts are the original coiled inserts and have been used in aviation, electronics, industrial, and military industries.
