Lincoln Electric Canada’s GRINOX Series stainless steel welding electrodes have many features required to meet the demands of the general fabrication market. The result is a high-quality, high-performing and versatile solution available at a competitive price point.
GRINOX electrodes are available in three grades. The GRINOX 2 PLUS (E308L-16) features a rutile coating that provides effortless strike and restrike ability, as well as easy arc control. With a spatter-free deposit, smooth bead appearance and easy slag removal, this electrode offers excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and oxidizing agents. It has the capability to operate in temperatures ranging from -120 to 350 degrees C (-184 to 662 degrees F).
GRINOX 73 (E309L-16) offers the same best-in-class features as the GRINOX 2 PLUS, in addition to reduced carbon levels (0.04 per cent max), resistance to hot cracking and intergranular corrosion without stabilizers.
GRINOX 10 (316L-16) provides intergranular corrosion resistance up to 400 degrees C, excellent pitting corrosion resistance in environments containing non-oxidizing acids, and good resistance to scaling in the presence of air and oxidizing combustion gases up to 800 degrees C.
All three grades are approved by the American Welding Society, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the CWB Group.
