ShawCor Ltd., a global energy services company, required a new enclosure for the service and repair of large oil rig drill-bits. The new solution needed to be flexible and, more importantly, portable, as it was for a remote location in Mexico. As a valued, long-time Provincial Partitions client, ShawCor Ltd. saw the immediate benefits of the unique Proflex buildings, patented modular steel structures that provide economical and efficient combined office, storage and custom space solutions.
Provincial Partitions first provided a schematic to illustrate exactly how the Proflex building would be incorporated into a prototype unit. Then, working closely with ShawCor Ltd., Provincial Partitions customized a standard eight-foot by 40-foot Proflex container. The customized unit included a separate control room, along with a large frame opening, enabling seamless access to a separate machine room. The final collective assortment of easily transportable buildings were moved to Mexico as a shelter to service and repair large oil rig drill-bits.
Because of the balance of trade worldwide, these durable, re-purposed steel shipping containers are readily available, allowing Provincial Partitions to take advantage of this surplus and pass the savings on to its customers through its new Proflex line of combined office/storage space solutions. Once complete, all units can easily be disconnected for transport to other locations. In addition, all units come with galvanized skids, complete with forklift pockets for easy placement in locations with limited access.
Proflex is one of the many flexible and convenient space management products available from Provincial Partitions, a leading provider of modular space solutions.
