A broad selection of band heaters is available from Process Heaters. This Toronto-based distributor is known for supplying world-class equipment, and its ability to design and implement complete process heating systems.
The company’s diverse range of band heaters includes an ideal option for any application. Some of the different types available include ceramic, Maxiband, mica, tubular and cast.
Ceramic band heaters are available that can reach temperatures up to 760 degrees C (1,400 degrees F). These heaters include models with a latch and trunnion for quick closure, a shell overlap with a gap for probe installation, and rapid cooling designs. These heaters transfer a large portion of their energy via radiation.
Maxiband heaters have tubular elements that are pressed into aluminum shoes. This design provides high strength and uniform heating. These heaters are available in entirely waterproof models, and can provide a liquid cooling function. They also feature rigid construction that is well suited to inside-out bands for installation inside a roller or pipe.
Mica bands are available that can reach temperatures up to 482 degrees C (900 degrees F). They feature flexible construction, with the ability to be formed into odd shapes to suit unique applications. The design also enables fittings, holes and notches to be easily incorporated. A variety of different closure options are available.
Tubular band heaters are also available. They feature robust construction and high resistance to contamination.
Cast bands are available in aluminum, brass or bronze.
All of these various band heaters are available with quick power disconnects, terminal boxes for added safety, and multiple options for lead orientation, length and protective coverings.
