Megger Limited offers versatile Metrosoft Power Quality Analyzer Software. This software has a range of capabilities, including harmonic analysis, demand and voltage/current data graphing, and the ability to produce detailed reports. Metrosoft is fast to set up, easy to use, and provides the same look and feel across different instruments, so it is simple for users to switch from one instrument to another.
Metrosoft software enables power analyzers to be set up for various test conditions in seconds. All that’s required is to fill in a simple form that allows selection of which phases to record, corresponding out-of-limit values, and which statistics to log (minimum, RMS, maximum). Based on these selections, the software can automatically compute the maximum recording time, providing added convenience. Once the power analyzer is set up for testing, this information will be retained until the user changes it. In addition, the setup files can be saved to a disk for re-use.
The software can be used for harmonic analysis and can provide charts of the actual waveforms, bar charts of harmonic magnitude, and a harmonic analysis report for a selected waveform cycle.
Metrosoft creates complete reports of all recorded data. These reports can then be viewed, printed or exported to spreadsheet programs. The different types of reports include:
- Summary and setup reports list information on the instrument setup and summarize all recorded data.
- Tabular reports for power or voltage and current include all of the corresponding data recorded for each input.
- Total harmonic distortion (THD) summary reports include THD data for each input. This data is measured as a percentage of the fundamental for each event's first cycle.
- Out-of-limits reports provide information on any out-of-limits events and the status of all the other outputs during the event.
The software enables users to view multiple phases and parameters on a single chart, allowing any problems to be quickly identified. It also provides a graphing feature that enables zooming in and enlargement of specific time periods for a close look at unusual events. In addition, the scan line feature lets users drag a line across the chart, while the software shows the values for that time point. This provides exact numbers so there is no need for approximations.
