Versa-Matic manufactures a wide variety of quality pump products that are available in Canada through York Fluid Controls. These products range from high-pressure double-diaphragm models to FDA Food Grade pumps. For the past few years, Versa-Matic has offered an upgraded version of its E5 Poly Drum Pump, which is highly recommended for transferring liquids out of a 55-gallon drum. This polypropylene unit now includes a drum kit assembly and air filter/regulator.
One hundred per cent assembled
The E5 Poly Drum Pump by Versa-Matic comes 100 per cent assembled by the manufacturer, which means that the customer can start using it right away, straight out of the box. No assembly is required. Its air filter/regulator removes solid and moisture contaminants to help prevent damage to the air-valve system, extending the pump’s lifespan in the process. The drum kit offers a complete repair solution for both the wet and air ends of the pump.
Other features of the E5 include lightweight construction, easy portability, high chemical resistance, and on/off reliability. In addition, the pump is non-freezing and non-stalling, ensuring dependable performance in various temperatures and environments. Specifications include the following: maximum flow of 53 litres per minute; maximum suction lift of 12 feet (dry) or 30 feet (wet); displacement of 80 millilitres per stroke; downward bottom suction with side, vertical, and horizontal top discharge; polypropylene wetted and centre sections; and bolted construction.
York Fluid Controls carries three models of the E5 Poly Drum Pump, distinguished by the materials that go into the wear components (diaphragm, check ball, and check valve seat) – they are available in Buna-N, PTFE, or Santoprene. Each pump type has a port size of ½ an inch NPT, a maximum inlet pressure of 100 pounds per square inch, and a regulating pressure range from zero to 100 pounds per square inch.
