EXAIR Corporation is always at the forefront of innovation in industrial compressed-air equipment. Its ever-expanding lineup of products broadens the range of cleaning, cooling, and housekeeping solutions for businesses across North America. The newest development from EXAIR is the 3/8-inch Standard Air Wipe. This product is ideal for blowing off, drying, cleaning, or cooling pipes, cables, hoses, and other items with small diameters, due to its unique 360-degree airstream.
No more threading required
With its split design, this device is easy for users to clamp around the surfaces of continuously moving materials like wire, cable, pipe, hose, and extruded shapes, eliminating the necessity of threading. This is perfect for a wide variety of applications, including wiping wire, drying inks, cooling hot extruded shapes, and blowing off water, plating, coatings, and dust. The air wipe is an excellent choice when the added durability of stainless steel screws, shims, and hosing are not required in the application.
The Standard Air Wipe ejects a small amount of compressed air through a thin, slotted nozzle that pulls in high volumes of surrounding air in the room. The airflow uniformly ejects from the full circle of the unit’s inner diameter. Users can easily latch or quickly remove the coupling brackets that hold each half of the air wipe together, as well as install additional shims if they need more blow-off force. An operator can also vary the air velocity with a pressure regulator and an instant on-off control, to provide precision blow-off. The unit has an air consumption of 11.1 standard cubic feet per minute.
Another considerable benefit of the 3/8-inch Standard Air Wipe is that it is compliant with the CE international safety standard, with a sound level of only 82 decibels.
The Standard Air Wipe is available from EXAIR from stock in aluminum in diameters from 13 to 279 millimetres, or 3/8 to 11 inches. Each kit includes the air wipe, a shim set, a filter separator, and a pressure regulator with coupler. Prices start at US$213.
