Versa-Matic has distinguished itself as a leading provider of innovative pump diaphragm designs. These diaphragms have a long service life and help increase the lifespan of the pump, while enabling trouble-free operation and stress-free maintenance. The company’s newest pump diaphragm, the Fusion integrated plate diaphragm, is no exception. It offers an excellent life expectancy and an efficient design.
Designed for performance
The new Fusion integrated plate diaphragm has a unique design, offering improved performance. The unit has a smooth, sanitary design, and features deflection ridges to ward off flex points and eliminate radial “wagon wheel” cracking. It also has an exclusive concave shape to provide excellent service life, suction lift and lower startup pressure. In addition, the unit’s oversized integrated plate supports nearly 50 per cent of the diaphragm through the entire dynamic motion stroke, while its backing ribs sustain and guide the diaphragm’s flex for extended life and reduced cavitation on suction stroke. The plate also features a “spin-on, spin-off” design, enabling users to simply hand tighten or loosen it without any torque spec required. Additional advantages of this design include greater displacement per stroke, and the elimination of leak paths.
Designed for savings
Fusion diaphragms offer many opportunities for savings. For example, their excellent service life extends the mean time between failure, reducing replacement costs. In addition, fewer part numbers reduces inventory and model complexity. Finally, the units’ simple spin-on design reduces downtime during repair.
A range of diaphragm sizes is available to meet the needs of each application. Fusion integrated plate diaphragms are available in sizes ranging from ½ inch to three inches.
