One way Pepperl+Fuchs supports its customers is through continuous improvement of both its products and services. The company recently broke ground on a new 110,000-square-foot facility in Katy, Texas, near Houston. The new facility will replace an existing 20,000-square-foot space, and house an expanded Solutions Engineering Centre, a customer training area, warehouse space and distribution facilities, greatly improving its offering.
The new engineering centre will be staffed with a team of engineers who have the capability to design, build and certify customized solutions onsite for process automation in hazardous locations. The team will be able to assemble this customized equipment locally, and deliver it immediately for just-in-time installation.
“This new engineering centre will really take our service to a new level,” explains Jim Bolin, Pepperl+Fuchs’ COO of process automation. “Certifying hazardous-location equipment alone can take months. This new facility will expand our capabilities to build and certify industry-leading products in a matter of days.”
The new building is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2017.
