Built to last
The three-millimetre thick rugged metal housing and recessed lens make the GL-R light curtain resistant to twisting, vibration and direct impact. In fact, it has the narrowest exposed lens surface in the industry. Additionally, the light curtain meets IP65/IP67 enclosure ratings based on IEC and JIS standards, allowing it to withstand the most demanding environments, including washdown environments.
Simple design and installation
The GL-R is available in a one-line wiring system. It only has five wires, compared to the 18 wires that come with conventional light curtains. This design greatly simplifies wiring, and takes one-third of the installation time of conventional curtains. Quick fit brackets are also available to simplify installation.
The system features full-length indicators and a digital seven-segment display that clearly shows the real-time status of the curtain. This helps to expedite troubleshooting when necessary. Alignment assistance is also built into the curtain and will illuminate when the curtain is aligned. A centre indicator highlights the operational status of the GL-R Series to the user, changing colours to identify if the light curtain is clear, interrupted or in a lockout condition.
