Interface produces the Model WTS 1200 Standard Precision LowProfile wireless load cell, designed for general-purpose applications in which load cells must be compensated for eccentric loads.
Short for Wireless Telemetry System, WTS denotes a line of wireless Interface products for collecting data at remote or inaccessible points and transmitting them to receiving equipment for monitoring.
A variety of capacities
The Interface Model WTS 1200 Standard Precision LowProfile wireless load cell can transmit information at distances of up to 610 metres to many different base stations, including a USB version and a handheld display. Features and benefits of this unique instrument include the following:
- Capacities ranging from 1.5 to 450 kilonewtons, with higher levels also available;
- Proprietary Interface temperature-compensated strain gauges;
- Performance to 0.0425 per cent;
- 4-gigahertz transceiver;
- Low deflection;
- Barometric compensation;
- Tension and compression; and
- Compact size.
Options available for this device include a base (recommended), standardized output, custom calibration, multiple bridges, special threads, and a dual diaphragm. Interface also offers options for second and third bridge and for overload protection. The Model WTS 1200 is fully compatible with Interface’s Model WTS-BS-1-HA wireless handheld display for multiple transmitters. Variations available include Models WTS 1210, 1220, and 1232.
The Model WTS 1200 is made of heat-treated steel or stainless steel, with a telemetry housing of polyamide resin, and it can operate in temperatures ranging from -20 to 55 degrees Celsius. Other specifications include the following: transmit power of ten megawatts; internal resolution of 16 million per 24 bits; transmission rates from five milliseconds to one day; typical battery life of 300 hours; and an IP rating of IP67.
This wireless load cell is an extremely versatile device, suitable for many industries.
