Interface produces the INF-USB2 Universal Serial Bus Output Module, an ideal solution for transmitting data from an Interface transducer onto a computer.
The Interface INF-USB2 is a single-channel PC interface module that makes any load cell or sensor USB-compatible.

This output module provides an easy interface for collecting and transmitting information. It comes with graphing and logging software that works well for convenient testing and monitoring applications that benefit from immediate evaluation or collection for future research purposes. Durham Instruments recommends it for use in several industries, such as general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, education, the medical field, the military, packaging, power generation, alternative energy, and research and development.
The INF-USB2 is easily connectible by USB from load and torque transducers to computers. The transducer’s data are logged into Microsoft Excel-compatible CSV file formats. The device works with different types of output transducers, including mV/V, plus or minus five V DC, and 4-20mA transducers, and it is environmentally sealed to an IP67 rating. Other notable features of the INF-USB2 include 16-bit resolution, a 5,000-Hertz sample rate, and a Shunt Cal trigger via the software.
The output module has four available input ranges, from 20,000 to plus or minus 30,000 counts, with input resistance from 1.3 milliohms to 200 gigaohms. Single- and dual-channel configurations are available. Other specifications are as follows:
- Operating temperature range from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius;
- Nonlinearity and accuracy of 0.1 per cent;
- Maximum cable length to sensor: three metres;
- Maximum USB cable length: five metres;
- Internal sample rate: 5,000 per second;
- Software-selectable measuring rate ranging from one per minute to 2,500 per second; and
- Temperature drift: four counts at ten degrees Celsius.
