Interface is known for offering advanced force measurement solutions, including a full line of load cells. Its selection includes fatigue-rated solutions, as well as an option for sealed hazardous environments. Both units offer extreme reliability, and are available in Canada from Durham Instruments.
SSMH sealed hazardous environment load cell
Model SSMH is certified for explosion protection with an intrinsic safety design that keeps out dust and gas according to ATEX designations. It is ideal for applications in coal mining and transfer, as well as other heavy industries exposed to explosive dusts and hazardous environments. With its rugged design, the environmentally sealed force measurement sensor can operate in temperatures as high as 143 degrees C (290 degrees F).
SSMF fatigue-rated load cell
Model SSMF is fatigue-rated, with 1×107 fully reversed cycles. The environmentally sealed unit features Interface’s proprietary temperature-compensated strain gauges, and can handle capacities up to 2.5K lbf. Additional advantages include 0.02 per cent non-repeatability and a very low creep of 0.025 per cent.
An industry-leading distributor
SSMH and SSMF load cells are distributed in Canada through Durham Instruments. The Pickering, Ont.-based company carries a wide selection of load cells, torque transducers, instrumentation and accessories from Interface and many other world-class manufacturers.
