Henkel offers a convenient online product selection tool.

With the wide variety of amazing adhesive products that Henkel Canada Corporation offers – under such respected brand names as Loctite, Teroson, and Technomelt – it can be difficult to decide which one is right for a specific application. But Henkel has made the selection process very easy with its unique Adhesive Bonding Selector.

This online selector tool helps Henkel customers identify what products they need, easily and quickly. This way, finding the best option is right at the user’s fingertips.

Answering ten simple questions

All a customer has to do is go to the Adhesive Bonding Selector on Henkel’s website and answer ten simple questions about the specific application. The selector shows this input right on the screen, allowing the user to adjust the info at any time during the process. Then the customer receives instant information about the best product to fit the application requirements.

First, the customer selects the region. The next step is choosing the type of material being bonded; options include metal, coated metal, composites, plastics, wood, and glass. Then the user identifies the contact area size of the bonded parts – small, medium, or large – and selects the size of the gap between the bonded parts from three options ranging from half a millimetre to five millimetres.

The next category is the type of setting required, such as a high-speed assembly that needs less than two minutes, within five minutes, or under an hour for fixture. Then the selector asks whether the assembly requires transmission of high mechanical loads between bonded parts, if the assembled parts are subject to high relative movement, and whether the assembly will be subject to significant dynamic loads like impact loading or shock. Last, the selector tool asks if the assembly will be used in extreme temperatures and aggressive environments.

After the user has answered all ten queries, the Adhesive Bonding Selector uses these responses to suggest adhesives that best fit the application requirements. Just like that, this online tool works as a quick, easy way to determine the best adhesive product for any task.
