Education is important to Harting, particularly when it comes to the education of its customers. Over the last year, the leading provider of connectivity solutions has made several investments in tools that marry its passion for educating customers with the need for convenience. Harting U, a free, web-based information portal designed to inform engineers about products, concepts and trends relevant to their needs, is one example; the introduction of its VideoCall an Expert service, which offers live support to customers, is another. It’s no surprise, then, that Harting recently released another tool designed to conveniently bring information to its customers — the Harting Knowledge Center app for Apple and Android devices.
A content hub
The Knowledge Center app is a content hub holding all of Harting’s educational materials. This includes its white papers, FAQs, videos, brochures and more.
“Engineers need the right tools to better inform themselves when choosing a connector solution,” said Christina Chatfield, director of marketing at Harting, Inc. of North America. “We want to make it easy for our customers to find the information in order to make educated buying decisions…Our customers have different applications, so the app allows a customized experience, depending on each individual’s needs.”
The app allows users to sort through content by market, product or content type, so they only have to see the information that’s relevant to them. It also gives users the ability to make custom playlists and share that information with colleagues or anyone else who might need it by sending the playlist to any email address.
The Harting Knowledge Center app is available on the iTunes and Google Play store for Apple and Android phones and tablets.
