Daemar constantly strives to develop new ways to provide value to its customers. It’s what drove the leading North American supplier of essential components for industry to publish a detailed Caplugs Selector Guide online. The guide is designed to help its customers determine the right plugs for their needs.
Caplugs products — more than 400 million caps, plugs, packaging, tubing and masking products — offer protection to fragile vials and pipes, among other pieces. The plugs come in a number of colours, materials, shapes and sizes to serve various applications. There are many options to choose from.
Daemar’s handy online guide includes a full breakdown of products according to material and specification. Each group is identified as either threaded (screw-in parts) or non-threaded (slip on and off). The guide also includes the range of Shercon Masking products available through Daemar, as well as the hooks and racks, packaging and netting products it carries from the Caplugs line. It also identifies the products that are ideal for specific applications (i.e., for pipes and flanges, medical applications, electronics and compressed gas).
In addition, there is a chart that helps end-users choose the correct material based on temperature requirements. Another chart — a material data chart — lists specific mechanical and electrical characteristics and other properties related to each option, so that end-users better understand the strengths and limitations of each material. Another chart shows which colours are available for each material selection — a helpful tool for those job sites that wish to colour code their items so that workers can more easily see which pipes are responsible for each function.
