Durham Instruments can supply a broad variety of piezoelectric load cells from HBM. The lineup includes PACEline CFT piezoelectric force transducers, designed for reliable, integrated force measurement in applications where space is a constraint.
HBM’s CFT transducers are suitable for monitoring highly dynamic press-fit and assembly processes with fast force variations. They take up three per cent of the space that transducers using other sensor technologies do, making them ideal for use in tight spaces. However, the compact design does not negatively affect reliability, as CFT transducers have the ability to measure over several intervals (decades) at consistent accuracy. They are available with measuring ranges from five to 120 kN.
CFT force transducers also offer high stiffness and a rugged design, which makes them ideal for use in harsh industrial environments. In addition, thanks to the flange connection on both sides and a central bore, these transducers can be easily and quickly integrated into existing systems.
The PACEline Series includes more than just CFT transducers. The lineup also features CFW piezoelectric force washers for assembly and testing applications; CHW piezoelectric force washers for a wide range of temperatures; low-profile CLP piezoelectric force washers for integration into systems and machines; the CMA charge amplifier; and the CMD digital charge amplifier. The CST/300 highly sensitive piezoelectric strain transducer, for applications where transducers based on strain gauges reach their limits due to size or low sensitivity, is also available.
