Filtermist International worked alongside government research institutes and global machine manufacturers to develop the most well-known and well-used oil mist extraction system on the market. Today, more than 40 years later, Filtermist oil mist extraction systems have become an industry standard for many sectors, and have a proven track record for efficiently removing oil mist in a range of applications, from high precision CNC machining centres to traditional open grinders.
Case in point
There are many examples of Filtermist’s success on the market in industries ranging from aerospace and medical to automotive and food processing. For instance, one company, a large dental implant manufacturer, required a mist collector because its operations were releasing significant amounts of oil mist in the atmosphere. The company selected 140 of Filtermist’s FX3000 units, which were installed on CNC Swiss type machines across three production facilities. Since installation, the customer reports it is very pleased with the Filtermist units, and no longer sees oil mist coming out of the machines. The result: cleaner factories and happier, healthier workers.
Another customer, a U.K.-based turning company, uses Filtermist units to remove lubricant mist from a variety of machining operations. These units have made a “huge difference”, the company explains, adding that Filtermist has minimized potential health and safety issues on the plant floor and virtually eliminated oil mist, while meeting their space requirements at the same time.
Filtermist units are available in mild steel and stainless steel with dozens of installation accessories to create turnkey solutions for almost any type of oil mist problem. These units are available through AMT Machine Tools, a Toronto-based distributor that has represented Filtermist mist collectors in Canada for more than 35 years.
