GRIT belt grinding systems, produced by FEIN, are modular-assembly belt grinding machines known for their dependability and long service life. Designed for many belt grinding applications, the GRIT system can be expanded using add-on modules to meet the customer’s exact needs.
The GRIT-GX series is comprised of stationary belt grinding machines ideal for use in a workshop or for short-run production, and can handle both coarse grinding and finishing. The units are cost-effective, work quickly and safely, offer high-quality results, are easy to install and convert from one application to another, and feature robust construction.
The available models include:
- The GRIT GX 75 and GRIT GX 75 2H belt grinding machines form the foundation of the GRIT GX system. The powerful belt grinders are available in one- or two-speed versions, and are usable as stand-alone belt grinders. However, add-on modules are available to convert this base machine into a notching/coping or cylindrical grinding machine.
- The GRIT GXR notching/coping and grinding module is an expansion module for notching/coping and grinding on diverse stock, such as pipe, square tube, flat material and profiles. It’s easily mounted on the GRIT GX 75 2H belt grinding base unit to offer professional notching/coping. The unit offers precise notching/coping of profiles and tubes from 16 to 75 mm in diameter.
- The GRIT GXC cylindrical grinding module is an expansion module for cylindrical material grinding and polishing use, from coarse grinding to surface finishing. It offers cost-effective grinding of tubes and shafts from 10 to 100 mm in diameter, at a high operating speed with maximum surface quality.
- The GRIT GXE deburring machine is an independent complement to the GRIT GX series for deburring steel and stainless steel workpieces using wire brushes. The wide range of brushes available enables the system to overcome most deburring challenges. An optional machine base, which is easy to assemble, robustly built and extremely durable, is also available.
