FEIN ultra-powerful electric and pneumatic hacksaws are designed for cutting pipes and profiles made of stainless steel, steel, cast iron, concrete-lined pipe, and plastics in a variety of environments — even in high risk conditions. The hacksaws feature a high output and low stroke rate, ideal features for cutting large dimension pipes, as well as sectional material.
FEIN’s line of hacksaws includes two electric models for pipes and profiled sections — the basic version AStx 649-1; and the AStxe 649-1 with continuously variable stroke adjustment.
The electric models feature inputs of 750 watts, outputs of 480 watts, and a performance of 100 to 350 strokes a minute, depending on the model. They can cut pipes up to 600 mm (24 inches) in diameter, and profiles 290 mm (11-7/16 inches) wide and up to 551 mm (21-5/8 inches) in height.
There is one pneumatic model in the company’s family of hacksaws — the STS 325 R. Designed for pipes and profiled sections, the pneumatic hacksaw has the capability to perform 330 strokes a minute, cutting pipes up to 600 mm (24 inches) in diameter, and profiles 290 mm (11-7/16 inches) wide and up to 550 mm (21-5/8 inches) in height.
Additional advantages can be realized with the use of many of the company’s high-quality accessories. For example, saw blades are available in lengths from 203 to 762 mm (eight to 30 inches), offering a quick, clean and efficient cut for high alloy material. In addition, a variety of clamping devices, as well as a clamp feed device, help ensure effortless precision cuts at a constant pressure. A cutting paste for working on metal, a metal tool case, a saw blade guide and a cleaning block are among the other available accessories.
