EXAIR Corporation manufactures the most innovative compressed-air devices on the market, including air knives. These products provide an efficient way to clean, dry, or cool parts, webs, or conveyors, in addition to serving as air curtains or environmental separators. The top choice is the Super Air Knife.
This compact instrument offers a quiet, hard-hitting air curtain that lowers compressed-air use and noise dramatically in comparison to other blow-offs. The Super Air Knife is available in sizes up to 108″ (2,743 mm) in stock.
All surfaces dried or cleaned
One notable advantage of the EXAIR Super Air Knife is its unusually low noise level, eliminating the noisy blow-offs of similar devices. Even in applications that require pressures as high as 80 pounds per square inch, the sound level does not exceed 69 decibels. These air knives produce an air amplification ratio – i.e., entrained to compressed air – of 40 to one. In this way, they comply with the maximum dead-end pressure and noise requirements of the United States Occupation Safety and Health Administration.
Another reason to invest in this device is the uniform sheet of laminar airflow that it delivers, with a very high level of force. This makes it perfect for blowing off chips, dirt, or water, as the air sheet has the same blowing force across its entire length. As a result, there are no interruptions or dead spots; all surfaces are dried or cleaned equally.
Of the three types of air knives that EXAIR produces, the Super Air Knife offers the best performance and highest level of efficiency. It has an even higher air velocity than the Standard and Full Flow air knives do, as well as the lowest air consumption. It also has compressed-air inlets on each end and the bottom.
Packages available include the full Super Air Knife Deluxe Kit (which includes a mounting system, shim set, filter separator, and pressure regulator) plus versions with plumbing kits and coupling bracket kits. The knife is available in aluminum, stainless steel, or PVDF for corrosive and high-temperature applications.
