EXAIR’s External Mix Atomizing Spray Nozzles are designed to mix liquid and air outside the nozzle, enabling air and liquid flows to be adjusted independently. They work in the same way that the company’s standard atomizing nozzles do, but this new model has a patent-pending design that allows it to positively stop liquid flow when compressed air is shut off, eliminating the unnecessary waste of precious resources.
Solving a common challenge
When spraying any type of liquid, post-spray liquid flow can cause major problems. It can ruin product function on sealing or mating surfaces, and the appearance of painted or coated finishes. In addition, excess liquid flow wastes precious resources such as expensive coatings, chemicals and water.
EXAIR’s No Drip Atomizing Nozzles solve this problem. When the compressed air supply is shut off, the no drip nozzle positively seals off the flow of liquid, eliminating the possibility of drips.
Nozzle options and applications
These nozzles are available in three different liquid patterns. The round pattern, available in five models, is ideal when a high volume of liquid is needed over a specific area. The narrow angle flat fan pattern, which comes in four models, is suitable when a high volume of liquid is needed over a concentrated area. The wide angle flat fan pattern is ideal for use when a high volume of liquid is needed over a wide area. It is available in four models.
The nozzles can be used on liquids up to 800 centipoise, and are fully adjustable to minimize air and liquid consumption. The units have interchangeable liquid and air caps, and are CE compliant and conflict mineral free.
The External Mix Atomizing Spray Nozzles are ideal for pressure-fed applications where precise liquid flow is needed, and can be used for painting, coating, rinsing, cooling, quenching, wetting (moistening), dust control and humidification.
