Cords Canada can supply a variety of hollow plastic balls for industrial applications from expert manufacturer Euro-Matic. These products can be used to create hollow ball blankets for a range of applications, including metal finishing, food processing, gas scrubbing, sewage treatment and temperature retardation.
How it works
Setting up a hollow ball blanket is fast and easy. Simply pour the balls onto the surface, and they will provide 91 per cent coverage in a single layer. When items are dipped into the blanket, the balls will move out of the way and then automatically float back into position.
Hollow ball blankets are an excellent way to conserve energy and save money — a single layer of hollow balls will reduce heat loss by 75 per cent, and evaporation by 87 per cent. As a result, hollow balls from Cords Canada can pay for themselves six times over, every year. In addition, hollow ball blankets can reduce air and noise pollution.
Hollow balls are available in polypropylene or HDPE varieties. Polypropylene models are well suited to most applications, and can be used in temperatures up to 110 degrees C (230 degrees F). HDPE models are ideal for outdoor use and applications involving extreme cold, but have a lower maximum temperature rating of 71 degrees C (160 degrees F).
Cords Canada can also provide balls in a range of sizes and weights. Heavier hollow balls are ideal for applications where wind is a factor, and larger sizes can ensure the balls won’t fall through any mesh or screens. In addition, Euro-Matic makes hollow balls in LDPE. These balls are designed for use in children’s “ball pools”, and are softer than the industrial varieties.
