As the warmer weather approaches, it’s important for employers to consider the comfort of their workers. Bringing cool air to the work environment during hot summer months not only helps keep working conditions safe, but it can also boost productivity.

Key features and advantages

Hi-Tech Duravent’s cooling blower hose enables positive pressure movement of air, dust and fumes. Constructed of one-ply vinyl-coated polyester fabric with an expanded pitch wire coated in a vinyl wearstrip, the unit’s bonded construction makes it virtually air-tight.

The hose is lightweight and highly compressible for ease of transport and use. In addition, it’s flame retardant to a UL 94V-0 rating, drag-, oil-, moisture-, ozone- and UV-resistant, as well as self-extinguishing. It is also heavy-duty for long-lasting performance.

The hose is available with inside diameters from four to 24 inches, and standard 25-foot lengths. A variety of cuff options are available, including a sewn cuff with two plies of polyester fabric sewn on the end; a belted cuff with a belt sewn around the cuff to ensure a quick and secure connection; a nylon ring cuff sewn into the ends of the hose to keep the dust end open; and an enclosed clamp cuff with a stainless band clamp sewn directly into the cuff.

The blower hose is also easily customizable, with many custom cuff options, colours, lengths and inside diameters available to ensure suitability to each application.

Ideal uses

The 1PV-EP-HM cooling blower hose is a cost-effective option for applications exposed to temperatures from -28 to 82 degrees C (-20 to 180 degrees F). Typical applications include air movement, ventilation, exhaust, dust movement and dehumidification for many demanding industries.
