Durham Instruments remains a premier source in Canada for the world’s top industrial test and measurement devices. The supplier’s international base of manufacturers includes Interface Force Measurement Solutions, which is renowned for its high-quality precision load cells and torque transducers that work in a variety of industries. Among Interface’s more than 60 models of load cells is the 1600 Gold Standard calibration load cell, offering tension and compression in a single unit.
A lower load limit
This Interface calibration load cell has been designed and built to calibrate other load cells in applications that require the best possible cell. With a four per cent lower load limit as per ASTM E74, the 1600 Gold Standard is a step above the 1100 model. Interface offers options for Second and Third Bridge and for overload protection as well.
The 1600 Gold Standard is a boon to many sectors. Durham Instruments recommends it for workers in general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, food processing, forestry, education, the medical field, the military, mining, packaging, power generation, alternative energy, transportation, and research and development.
Interface manufactures four variations of this calibration load cell – Models 1610, 1620, 1632, and 1640 – with sizes ranging from 111.3 to 266.7 millimetres (mm). Each version has 0.01 per cent creep, an output of up to four mV/V, a high precision base installed, low deflection, shunt calibration, barometric compensation, and a factory-installed calibration adaptor. Options include connector protection, standardized output, a transducer electronic data sheet, custom calibration, multiple bridge, special threads, a dual diaphragm, and special temperature range. Accessories available include mating connectors, mating cables, and instrumentation.
Other specifications of this device include the following:
- Safe overload of plus or minus 150 per cent CAP;
- Deflection ranging from 0.05 to 0.25 mm at RO;
- Alloy steel construction;
- Weight ranging from 1.724 to 77.564 kilograms;
- Static error band from plus or minus 0.02 to 0.05 per cent FS;
- Nonlinearity from plus or minus 0.03 to 0.05 per cent FS; and
- Hysteresis from plus or minus 0.02 to 0.05 per cent FS.
