Interface multi-axis force sensors are available in Canada from Durham Instruments. The company carries three- and six-axis models, offering a compact and reliable solution for many industrial and scientific applications.
3AXX three-axis load cell
Interface’s three-axis load cell measures forces simultaneously in three mutually perpendicular axes: X, Y and Z. Each axis provides an output of 1mV/V and requires no mathematical manipulation. This unit is built to minimize eccentric loading effects and crosstalk between channels. The load cell is provided in various capacity ranges and sizes, with each of the three axes providing the same capacity, from a 10N to a 50 kN force range.
6AXX six-axis load cell
Interface's six-axis load cell measures forces simultaneously in three mutually perpendicular axes and three simultaneous torques about those same axes. Six full bridges provide mV/V output on six independent channels. A 36-term coefficient matrix is included for calculating the load and torque values in each axis, and an eight-channel amplifier with USB PC interface is available to simplify data analysis.
Interface’s three- and six-axis load cells are ideal for use in many industrial and scientific applications, such as aerospace, robotics, automotive and medical research (i.e., orthopedics and biomechanical).
If the standard three- and six-axis models don’t meet the needs of the application, Interface can work with customers to custom design a unit with additional capacities and higher temperatures, for example.
These units are available in Canada from Durham Instruments, an industry-leading distributor based in Pickering, Ont. The company carries a wide selection of products from Interface, and a range of other world-class manufacturers.
