At Continental Conveyor & Machine Works, we design, engineer and manufacture mechanical bulk materials handling equipment, systems and components to meet almost all industrial requirements. Our product line includes conveyors, bucket elevators, stackers, and components such as idlers, covers and pulleys. With over fifty years of industry experience, we continue to take pride in our experienced and knowledgeable staff and our quality assurance practices. Both our people and our processes allow us to maintain precise control over manufacturing tolerances and to produce top-quality systems and equipment.
Conveyor Product Line
We manufacture a variety of conveyors, as well as idlers and pulleys for most models. Screw conveyors are economical and low maintenance, and consist of a helical flight fastened around a pipe and mounted within a tubular trough. As the screw rotates, material gathers in front of the flight and is pushed through the trough. Belt conveyors suit continuous operation, high capacities and abrasive material.
Conveyor Industrial Applications
We serve numerous business sectors, including the pulp and paper, mining, food processing, quarrying and smelting industries.
Conveyor Manufacturing Process
We work at two state-of-the-art plants in Thetford Mines, Que. and Napanee, Ont., and employ 10 engineers, 15 mechanical designers, 15 support staff, 10 sales staff over 100 manufacturing staff. In addition to investing in an experienced and dedicated team, we work with many specialty production machines, including plate shears, press brakes, plate bending rolls and pantographs. These allow us to make numerous top-quality mechanical bulk materials handling products under one roof. Both plants also have in-house shot-blast cleaning and painting facilities, and machine shops that perform most of the milling, turning and boring. Our engineering and design teams also offer custom systems to meet your specific needs. Six of our design and project management staff members have extensive experience supervising the commissioning of all the equipment that we supply.
