Recirculation control valves
Our valves are designed and built to offer optimum performance. Automatic recirculation valves are typically used to provide automatic protection of centrifugal pumps when they are operating under low loads. When the flow rate drops below a preset level, the valve opens a bypass flow path. This ensures the flow rate is returned and maintained above the minimum level.
Often these valves are used in applications that involve pumping hot water, such as cooling applications or boiler feeding. In these situations, without a recirculation valve to provide protection, evaporation can cause the pump to run dry. Recirculation valves are also used for protecting high performance pumps during the start up operation.
