Plastic Caps

At Polymer Molding Inc., we have been manufacturing plastic caps, plugs and custom moldings for over two decades. Our products protect threaded fittings, tubing and valves from contamination and shipping damages. We primarily work with commodity-grade resins, and also have substantial experience with engineering-grade resins such as thermoplastics and thermoset materials. Our press sizes range from two to 400 tons, our shot sizes range from 2.2 to 60 ounces, and we offer horizontal and vertical molding. Let us know if environmental conditions, corrosion resistance or thermal endurance are necessary in your plastic caps and plugs, and we will be happy to accommodate your needs.

Plastic Caps Product Line

We manufacture many models of plastic caps. Tapered-style caps can also be used as plugs, and keep unwanted contamination out of pipes, valves and most other cylindrical openings. Electrical connector caps are designed to mate with male-threaded electrical connectors, but can easily be modified for other applications by removing the flange on the top surface. Standard thread caps are crafted with internal threads that provide a positive snap fit. They can be threaded or pressed on. We also manufacture vinyl caps, pipe caps, rectangular caps and sleeves, and more. These caps are primarily made of low-density polyethylene.

Plastic Caps Industrial Applications

Our customers work in the automotive, aerospace, construction and fluid power industries, among many others.

Plastic Caps Manufacturing Process and Other Services

We are proud that our ISO 9001/2000 certified facility includes a high-speed lean molding cell. This area houses state-of-the-art Van Dorn closed loop systems, which produce millions of components each day and allow us to maintain competitive prices. We also provide in-house tooling and prototyping, and mold maintenance and repair services. For custom projects, we offer engineering assistance, colour matching, insert molding, and numerous secondary operations that include bagging, hole punching and printing.
