Acrylic fabrications including sheets, rods, and tubes are available from Johnston Industrial Plastics Limited. Acrylics include brand name materials such as Acrylite, Lucite, and Plexiglas. This thermoplastic material features crystal clear transparency, exceptional mechanical properties, and the ability to be used in a range of applications. It is an extremely versatile material, as it is easy to weld, machine, cement, and thermoform. We stock the largest inventory of engineering plastics in the country, and we offer a full range of services from our four locations across Canada. After more than 70 years in the business, we are known for our exceptional track record of offering the best materials and services.
Our acrylic sheets feature light weight, weather resistance, and strong chemical resistance. They are available in sizes ranging from 48" by 72" up to 75" by 124". Maximum thickness ranges up to 4" and we stock many different colours.
We offer both cast and extruded acrylic rod featuring water resistance, easy fabrication, and high resistance to heat distortion. Our cast rods have diameters ranging from 1/4" up to 6-1/2", and lengths up to 8'. Extruded varieties are available from 1/16" to 2" in diameter and 6' lengths.
Also available in both cast and extruded types is our acrylic tubing. Cast tubes provide high optical quality and easy machining. They range in outside diameter from 1-1/2" to 12", lengths from 72" to 77", and wall thicknesses from 1/8" to 1/4".
Our extruded tubing is FDA approved, and also offer light weight and weatherability. The outside diameters range from 1/4" to 6", length is 6", and three wall thicknesses are available: 1/16", 1/8", and 1/4".
