Teflon Tape

Enflo Canada designs and manufactures polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) products including tape, rods, cylinders, sheets and tubing. These are available in skived, molded and extruded PTFE, and we also manufacture products in virgin reprocessed PTFE and filled PTFE (Enflon®). We are one of the only companies to process virgin PTFE in-house, which allows us to best control for quality. With over fifty years of experience, we are proud to offer same-day shipment on stock items, fast turnaround time for custom orders, and discounts for large orders. The friendly and knowledgeable teams in both our Canadian and American facilities ensure that you get the products you need when you need them.

Teflon Tape Product Line

We manufacture skived and pressure sensitive PTFE tape in a variety of dimensions. PTFE, a fluoropolymer resin, offers a low coefficient of friction, good insulating properties, and resists heat and most chemical substances. Skived PTFE tape suits temperatures up to 500ºF, and the acrylic adhesive on the Pressure Sensitive PTFE tape functions in temperatures up to 180ºF.

Teflon Tape Industrial Applications

Our clients work in diverse business sectors, including the aerospace, oil and gas, scientific research, medical, and food and beverage industries.

Teflon Tape Manufacturing Process

Enflon®, our filled PTFE material, combines PTFE with varying amounts of other substances, such as glass fiber, graphite, bronze and carbon. This alters the material’s characteristics. For example, adding graphite improves PTFE’s corrosion resistance and initial wear, and the addition of molybdenum disulfide improves the material’s surface hardness and stiffness, and reduces the starting coefficient of friction.
