Teflon Products

At Enflo Canada, we design and manufacture a wide range of PTFE products. PTFE is commonly known as Teflon, which is the registered trademark of DuPont, but refers to the resin polytetrafluoroethylene. We are proud to process virgin PTFE in-house, thus maintaining complete control over our products’ quality. The knowledgeable and experienced teams in our two plants––one in Grand Falls, NB and the other in Bristol, CT––serve customers across North America with a smile. An industry leader since 1956, we ensure that you get top-quality, cost-effective products wherever you happen to be. We offer same-day shipment on stock items, fast turnaround time for custom orders, and discounts for large orders.

Teflon Product Line

We manufacture tubes, sheets, rods and other products in skived, molded and extruded PTFE, as well as virgin reprocessed PTFE and filled PTFE (Enflon®). Enflon®, our filled PTFE material, combines PTFE with varying amounts of other substances, such as glass fiber, graphite, bronze and carbon. This alters the material’s characteristics. For example, adding graphite improves PTFE’s corrosion resistance and initial wear, and the addition of molybdenum disulfide improves the material’s surface hardness and stiffness, and reduces the starting coefficient of friction.

Teflon Industrial Applications

Our clients work in diverse business sectors, including the aerospace, oil and gas, scientific research, medical, and food and beverage industries.

Teflon Manufacturing Process

For PTFE products that stick to other surfaces, we put the product through a chemical process called etching. This can be done on one or both sides of a product, and after an epoxy is applied to the etched side, the PTFE product will adhere to another surface. Alternatively, we can apply pressure-sensitive tape––etched material on an adhesive backing paper––to a PTFE product.
