Heat Shrinkable Tubing Manufacturing Process
Our manufacturing process varies depending on the product in question, but our dedicated teams always work with top-quality materials. We also offer secondary manufacturing activities such as wire and cable cutting and stripping, crimping, harness and cable assemblies, hot stamping and hot tinned dipping.
Briflonä dual wall tubing
–Inner wall made of FEP and outer wall of TFE. Upon heating, the TFE shrinks over the FEP, which squeezes into and around the item within, creating near solid encapsulation.
–Non-flammable, non-corrosive, low water absorption
–Operating temperature: -85ºF–450ºF
–Longitudinal change with full shrinkage: 5-25%
Brimflexä PVC tubing
–PVC tubing that shrinks to 50% of expanded size when exposed to temperatures below 200ºF
–Self-extinguishing, non-corrosive, resistant to sunlight, moisture, chemicals, fungus, oils
–Longitudinal change with full shrinkage: 20%
Brimpreneä Neoprene tubing
–SH100 Neoprene tubing with a shrink ratio of 1 ¾:1 (43%)
–Partial shrinkage begins at 135ºC
–Operating temperature: -70ºC–121ºC
Brimflexä irradiated polyolefin tubing
–SH135 polyolefin tubing with a shrink ratio of 2:1 (50%); greater mechanical strength and abrasion resistance than PVC tubing
–Shrinks at 250ºF; longitudinal shrinkage is 5%
–Self-extinguishing or slow burning
