Our industrial felt comes in more than 12 grades that serve a variety of applications. It is made with synthetic fibres and wool content ranging from 55% to 100%. Industrial felt provides a durable felt for insulation in everything from freight cars and trucks to insoles.

Our custom manufacturing capabilities include die-cutting, kiss-cutting, stripping, and felt made in custom quantities and density levels. Our felt experts are always happy to work with customers to produce the appropriate felt to meet their exact needs.
Most of our felt is manufactured on site, primarily using the wet process method in which fibres are mixed, carded, felted, fulled, and finished. In order to achieve higher densities in industrial felt, we apply additional pressure during the fulling stage. Fulling consists of rollers working the felt until it reaches the desired density.
For some custom felt, made of either synthetic fibres or a mixture of wool and synthetic fibres, we often use the repetitive needle punching method. This creates felt with similar density levels as pressed felt but with varying weight factors. Our customer service representatives would be happy to speak with you about that process.
