Secondary Capabilities
PMI is EDI/DDL and AIAG bar code capable. Secondary operations include annealing, material testing, pre & post insert molding, machining, drilling, thread tapping, assembly and lapping.

Material Capability
Although our standard closure line is produced in commodity type resins, we also have substantial experience producing components in sophisticated high performance plastics. Some of our commonly processed resins are ABS, Acetal, Acrylic, Phenolic, Polycarbonate, PTFE, Polyester and PEEK. If the priorities of your component project include environmental conditions, thermal endurance, close tolerance or impact stability, corrosion resistance, conductivity or lubricity, we may be able to help.

Press Capabilities
Our press sizes range from 2 through 400 tons and from .2 to 60 ounce shot size. It is our belief that by utilizing the optimum size equipment, our customers are assured of a quality part produced from the most efficient and cost effective equipment possible.

The latest edition to our operation is a new multi-million dollar “lean” molding facility. The entire section contains the latest in Van Dorn closed loop systems and is primarily manned by only one employee. This high-speed section is able to produce millions of cost-effective components each day and has made a significant contribution toward controlling costs and maintaining fair pricing for our customers.

In addition, this high-speed, quick change-over section has allowed us to be more reactive to our customer’s as it relates to JIT requirements and has significantly reduced the high cost of carrying and maintaining large and costly inventories.

Quality
PMI products are manufactured utilizing the International quality guidelines of ISO 9001/2000. We are experienced in PPAP and ISIR submissions. For complete tractability, all SPC documentation, material certifications, test results and other pertinent records are maintained for customer reviews and lot verifications.

On-Site Precision Tool-Making
Our skilled craftsmen are accustomed to producing precise quality tooling that meets or exceeds the most stringent specifications. Whether it's a prototype, slide, insert or unscrewing – we have the experience to produce it. We offer the technical and tooling support you'll need to take your project from a concept idea right through to production. For cost conscious customers with unlimited ideas and limited resources, we suggest the following options. We often build insert tool-sets retrofitted to one of our multi-cavity molds or depending on design, we may be able to adapt to our family of modular mold systems. In either case, you own the insert tools while the expense of the mold base and mold maintenance remains the responsibility of PMI.
