Our History

Richard A. Kovach President and owner began his tool and die business in 1970 in a 20x 20 garage in Cleveland, Ohio. Ken Forging Inc. is a hot-drop forging, family owned business located in Northeast Ohio, and a domestic manufacturer of closed-die industrial Hardware in carbon, alloy and stainless steel and custom forgings. Beginning in 1972 when Kovach built a modest 3000 square foot die shop. Through 2007, additioanl expansions have been made to the Die & Forge area. Production, Impacter, Press room, Machining Center, Shipping and four additional loading docks. In 2008 a twenty-three room Office Complex brought Ken Forging to 220,000 square feet of a still-expanding leading manufacturer in the eyebolt industry.

The Forge consists of (1) #23 and (1) #38 Die Forgers. (1) 640 ton Metric Press. (12) Impactors; (2) EDM Machines, (7) Cincinnati Hydro-Tels and (2) CNC die-sinking machines: (3) CNC Drilling and Tapping machines and (2) Turnbuckle machines.

Our Products

Ken Forging stocks industrial hardware in carbon steels (grades C1018 through C1045 including C1030 and C1035) alloy steels (4140 and F11 and F22) and stainless steels (304 and 316 series). Our product is available in many finishes including plain (self-colored) hot dip or electro galvanize (zinc) and electro polished. Our threading capabilities include UNC and UNF as well as Metric and ACME. Custom plating and special heat treat processes are also available.

Products include: Eyebolts, Nut Eyebolts, Rod Ends, Turnbuckles & Fittings, Eye Nuts (3 styles), C-Clamps, Machine Strap Clamps, Pad Eyes, Wedges (Set-Up), T-Slot Nuts, D-Rings, Swivel Hoist Rings, & Custom Forgings up to 200 lbs, proudly made in the U.S.A.
