Flowforge steel gratings are forge welded, a system in which Fisher & Ludlow was a pioneer. In this process the bearing and cross bars are permanently forged together by heat and pressure into a single unit construction which results in greater strength per pound than mechanical assembly methods. The twisted cross bars provide a non-slip surface for extra safety.

Our Flowforge Close Mesh Gratings meet the special standards set for such gratings by certain building codes. They may be ordered with either serrated or regular bearing bars.

Advantages of Close Mesh Gratings include greatly increased load bearing capabilities and prevention of fall through by dangerous objects such as heavy tools or equipment dropped accidentally from above.
