The world’s smallest IR temperature sensor now has brains. 

Exergen’s microIRt/c sensor head has been combined with the company’s SmartIRt/c platform, making precision in small places a reality. The Smart-microIRt/c Series processes the signal from the microIRt/c, linearizes and gives an analog output (4-20mA, 0-5V, 0-10V). Accuracy holds with changes in ambient from -45 to 100 degrees C, with no drifting. 

The all digital system is plug and play, offering non-contact temperature measurement. Plus, there are no impedance, leakage current or linearity problems to worry about. The sensor head — the smallest in the market at 0.25 inches in diameter — is remote and, without air purge, can be used in ambient temperatures to 100 degrees C. With a small-sized air purge jacket, it can be cooled to 177 degrees C. 

Four sensor heads with 1:2 and 4:1 optics, straight- and side-view mounting, built-in air purge, air purge jackets and mounting brackets are also available with the series.
