“Quality is our commitment. Service is our strength.” That’s more than just a slogan at Jefferson, Ohio-based Ken Forging Inc. It’s a culture. And it’s a big reason the family owned company is a leading manufacturer in the forging business today.

Ken Forging started as a tool and die shop in Richard Kovach’s garage in 1970, and has grown into a manufacturer of drop-forged industrial hardware located in northeast Ohio.

Today, the company employs more than 130 people and operates out of a 320,000-square-foot plant. Its original product line of carbon steel eyebolts and rod ends has been expanded to include product forged from stainless steels and alloys. Ken Forging’s eyebolts and threaded rod ends, in addition to its eye nuts, turnbuckle bodies, fittings, forged d-rings and custom forging capabilities, allow the company to provide an expansive array of structural components for the forged hardware industry. Its forged product line also includes t-slot nuts, wedges and a line of forged steel machine strap clamps, which includes finger clamps, goose-neck clamps, plain clamps, u-clamps, universal adjustable clamps with saddles, and c-clamps and thumbscrews. Products are available in many sizes and finishes.

In fact, Ken Forging offers the widest selection of forged industrial hardware to the fastener and forging industries. Since its beginning, the company has made a commitment to quality on all of its products, offering 100 per cent traceability and lot control for quality assurance purposes. And the team promises to provide the best product available in the most timely manner — offering same day shipping of stock items, and ensuring the fastest possible delivery time for both stock and modified orders.

Ken Forging offers a multitude of in-house operations, allowing the company to provide distributor-based customers with high-quality finished products in record turnaround times. The completely integrated facility provides a “one-stop shopping” environment that is beneficial to everyone. Because at Ken Forging, the customer is first. And that comes straight from the top.

“It is the total quality commitment we offer to our customers, along with fast service of same day or next day shipment,” says Kovach. “We are dedicated to total customer service and satisfaction, beginning at the top. Employees know and understand the importance of providing customers with superior quality products at a competitive price with substantial inventory to provide the fast turn-around required. Because we can do everything in our house, we can meet those requirements.”
