U5100 transducers are ideal for OEM customers using medium to high volumes.

U5100 Series pressure transducers, part of Measurement Specialties’ UltraStable line, has set a new price/performance standard for sensors used in demanding commercial and heavy industrial applications. The line provides accurate measurements and stability over a wide temperature range — performance previously available only in more expensive sensors.

Applications and features

Ideal for demanding environments, this series is suitable for the measurement of liquid or gas pressure, even for difficult media such as contaminated water, steam and mildly corrosive fluids. It exceeds the latest heavy industrial CE requirements, including surge protection, and is over-voltage protected in both positive and reverse polarity.

U5100 transducers feature 100 per cent 316L media isolation, which covers all but the most corrosive environments. In addition, this series employs the UltraStable technology, which uses a silicon-based strain gauge isolated by an oil-filled capsule and a stainless steel diaphragm. The high stability rating is provided through MEMS-based technology, and obtains excellent repeatability and minimal hysteresis.

This series is ideal for OEM customers using medium to high volumes, and the standard version is suitable for many applications. However, custom designs are available, including designs using exotic metals and various ports and output options.

These transducers are compact and can operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 125 degrees C.
