Air quality has a big impact on the health and safety of employees. And in this type of manufacturing environment, oil mist can be a big problem if not properly controlled.

2Source Manufacturing tests oil mist twice a year, and results must be below 0.3 mg/m³ to have a safety margin below the recommended level of 0.5 mg/m³.   

Terry, the facility’s maintenance manager, says that once the company started using Aeroex mist collectors, its mist levels continued to reduce as new machines came in with the units mounted by the machine tool distributor. The Aeroex units consistently discharge air at near zero levels.  

Today, Terry wishes all equipment worked as well as the Aeroex units. For 2Source Manufacturing, there was no maintenance or filter replacements until the fourth year of operation, and even then only four out of 22 units required new HEPA filters. The only operating cost has been electrical power. This is great news for the health of employees, and the bottom line of the company.
